O’Brien’s ”Introduction to Information Systems 15/e” reflects the contemporary use of enterprise-wide business systems. Expanding upon the popular case-study approach, Affirming Diversity: The Sociopolitical Context of Multicultural Education examines the lives of real students who are affected by multicultural education, or the lack of it. Topics covered in the text include inclusive practices in the school and community, curricular and functional assessment, the relationship of functional skills to general education core content, systematic instruction, longitudinal transition, self-determination, and basic human rights. Addressing an emerging course in hospitality management, this one-of-a-kind book outlines the basic elements of the revenue management process and the keys to effective revenue management planning. In a similar fashion, the design of unit wastewater processes follows the flow of wastewater through a plant. Managerial decision making is the underlying theme, and topics and applications are presented and organized in a manner that allows students to thoroughly understand business research topics and functions. The Readings portion of the book is ordered into seven sections: Negotiation Fundamentals, Negotiation Subprocesses, Negotiation Contexts, Individual Differences, Negotiation across Cultures, Resolving Differences, and Summary. ”Fundamentals of Hearing” is still the only non-edited book that covers sound, auditory anatomy and physiology, and psychoacoustics and auditory perception in one book at an introductory level. Scores of new examples have been added, along with 16 new Illustration Capsules, to enrich understanding of the content and to provide students with a ringside view of strategy in action.
